По данным Wall Street Journal, корейский гигант Samsung планирует добавление антивирусной защиты на все свои новые Android-смартфоны. «Программа будет пребывать в наблюдении» добавила Samsung после недавнего отчета в соавторстве с Министерством внутренней безопасности и Министерством Юстиции США. Этот доклад показал, что в 2016 году, 79% вредоносных программ были направлены на смартфоны под управлением Android.
Смартфоны, которые часто контактируют с ПК имеют более уязвимое положение. Например, в Европе у нескольких корпораций пострадали некоторые секретные данные из-за «зараженных» мобильных устройств. Некоторые вирусы могут лично отправлять текстовые сообщения на короткие номера, тем самым грабят вас.
Решение Samsung на добавление антивирусной защиты мобильных устройств на платформе Android направлено на тех, кто использует свой смартфон в качестве работы. Компания добавила новое программное обеспечение — Samsung KNOX, оно предназначено определенно для модели Samsung Galaxy S4 и старше. Но реальность такова, что эта угроза действительно имеет место быть, и причем не только для корпораций. Недавно, поддельное приложение камеры, установленное на устройство из Google Play позволило хакерам управлять доступом к веб-сайтам со смартфона. Это приложение было удалено.
ПО, добавленное Samsung, будет проверять установки и загрузки приложений на наличие известных угроз и защищать устройство во время скроллинга браузера. Единственным недостатком является то, что программа съедает от 3% до 5% заряда аккумулятора ежедневно.
