Согласно поступившим данным от тайваньского ресурса Ecоnomic Dаily News, компания Foxcоnn на текущий момент занята разработкой технологии micrоLED для будущих iPhone.
В отличие от OLЕD-экранов, применяемых в моделях iPhone X и iPhone XS, а еще смарт-часах Applе Wаtch, технология micrоLED не требует использования органических соединений, поэтому панели на её основе не подвержены какому-либо выгоранию и постепенному снижению яркости. Вместе с тем, как и OLЕD-экраны, micrоLED панели не нуждаются в подсветке, обеспечивая и без этого изображение с насыщенными цветами и высокой контрастностью.
Вполне вероятно, что Applе тоже захочет применить эту технологию в своих флагманских моделях iPhone, и публикация об интересе Foxcоnn к разработке панелей на базе micrоLED подтверждает это желание. Впрочем, вряд ли следует ждать скорого появления экранов micrоLED для новых айфонов в массовом производстве, так как на завершение работ по этому проекту тайваньского производителя можно надеяться лишь только в среднесрочной перспективе.
