Согласно источникам TechCrunch, о сделке может быть официально объявлено уже в понедельник. Подтвержденная несколькими источниками сумма сделки составляет около 400 миллионов долларов. Если продажа состоится, то компания «уйдет» со значительной скидкой, поскольку во время последнего раунда финансирования стоимость Shazam оценивалась примерно в 1 миллиард долларов.
Ранее сообщалось, что сервис может быть приобретен Snapchat. Однако компании договорились только о том, чтобы позволить пользователям Snapchat распознавать песни прямо из приложения. Неясно, как новая сделка с Apple повлияет на эти соглашения. О причинах продажи пока не сообщается.
